Vijayawada Junction comes to DoubleTree by Hilton Agra

The 10-day long festival ends August 7 and is open for both lunch and dinner

To showcase different types of indigenous food tastes of Andhra Pradesh, DoubleTree by Hilton Agra has organised a ten-day long ‘Vijayawada Junction’ food festival at their all-day dining restaurant, North-27. The 10-day long festival ends August 7 and is open for both lunch and dinner.

The food festival showcases an array of signature dishes from Andhra Pradesh and the menu comprises delicacies such as Royalla Vepudu, Gonguramamsam, Palakurapappu, Kodi Pepper Fry, Amravati Veg pulao and Kesari to name a few. The menu is curated by Chef Vinakaya who hails from Chittor in Andhra Pradesh, most of his recipes and ingredients come from his Amma’s kitchen at home. Spent most of his childhood between Chittor, Vizag and Vijaywada, he learnt his cooking with travelling. The hotel has added an extra touch to keep the decor in tune and to create mini-Andhra in Agra. Specialty Andhra condiments, region-influenced attire along with a tantalising buffet are enough to transport food connoisseurs to Andhra Pradesh. An exclusively curated Andhra plate meal is available for lunch and the lavish Andhra buffet for dinner at North 27.

Shyam Kumar, General Manager, DoubleTree by Hilton Agra, says, "We have experimented with menus, got the best chefs around the country to create exquisite touches to the city’s food horizon. We have been hosting many food festivals in the past and continuing with the quest to bring in the regional flavours, and brought in the Andhra Food Festival this time. We hope to continue raising the bar."
