The good food culture

The Chefs Garden at Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa is not simply an esoteric name, there is a rational explanation behind it

“Good food equals good mood” is the motto of Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa, and it aims to deliver to all guests. Its Chefs Garden is created for this very reason. The Chefs Garden is not simply an esoteric name, there is a rational explanation behind it. It is actually the property's own Chefs Garden, put together by the Executive Chef Deva Kumar and his team, where they grow fresh herbs and vegetable ensuring that the healthy plants are grown and are produced of the highest quality for consumption. These range from microgreens to tomatoes and cauliflower to mouthwatering eggplant and peppers.

All of the dishes are made with nutritious and locally sourced ingredients directly from this organic farm. The award winning restaurants C Salt (South Indian specialty costal cuisines restaurant) and The Reef (Multi cuisine all day dining restaurant), use these seasonal, nutrient-dense and flavor-rich vegetables to create these revolutionizing dishes that have an vibrant aroma and are just scrumptious to indulge in. To reduce the carbon footprint and put an impact towards its 2025 sustainability and social impact goal as a part of the Marriott Server 360 initiative, the property's Chefs Garden initiative strives to change for a more sustainable future of living.

“There is a need to bring back the good food culture into our society. Chef Garden is thus a humble attempt in bringing about this change in our lives. From fresh flavour-full vegetable to organically grown vegetables we want to deliver our guests amazing and vibrate dishes to enjoy from giving them a rich and flavorful experience," said Deva Kumar, Executive Chef, Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa.
