Hyatt Regency Dharamshala Resort, recently promoted Suresh Kumar to Director of Rooms. He comes with a broad spectrum of knowledge and an experience of over a decade in the hospitality industry, where he has worked in both the Indian and International markets.

“It has been a great honour to join Hyatt Hotels Corporation with their first mountain resort in India at Dharamshala and be a part of the prestigious Shanti Hospitality Group. I am thankful to the entire management team for supporting me in all my professional aspects to growing. I look forward to tackling all the challenges that come my way as Director of Rooms at this beautiful resort and write history," said Kumar.

Kumar has been an integral part of the pre-opening team at Hyatt Regency Dharamshala Resort since November 2018 as the Front Office Manager. In his new role, Suresh will be responsible for the overall functioning of the rooms, front office operations, and will also spearhead various functions such as Guest Services and in-house reservations team. 

A graduate in Hotel Management, from AIHM Chandigarh, he hails from Shahpur in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. He began his career in 2007 as the Guest Service Associate at Marriott Welcomhotel, New Delhi and has also been associated with brands like The Leela Palace Kempinski, Bangalore, Dusit – Devarana Hotel Delhi, Aloft and Carlson group in the past. His last assignment was with Dunes by Al Nahda in Oman as Director of Rooms & Head of Operations.
