South African Tourism deepens value proposition for Indian travellers

Partners with Air Seychelles for exclusive deals and launches campaign to encourage rapidly growing Indian tourist footfalls

At a time when fuel prices and air fares are rising, South African Tourism has launched an exclusive India airfare campaign in partnership with Air Seychelles. To run for a month between July 25 and August 25, 2022, the campaign offers return tickets on the Mumbai to Johannesburg route for INR 38,148. Travel will be valid between July 25, 2022 to January 31, 2023. Air Seychelles is also offering an additional 20 per cent discount on the base fare for consumers who use the promo code 00G4S51T. This value-driven offering by the tourism board is expected to significantly support and encourage the rapidly growing Indian tourist footfalls to South Africa.

Through this targetted digital campaign, South African Tourism hopes to engage with millennials, double-income-no-kid households and Indian families. The campaign will showcase value-friendly propositions offered by the Rainbow Nation, allowing travellers to splurge more on wellness and experiences by saving on air fares. This conversion campaign is an extension of the More & More campaign launched by the tourism board earlier this year and will drive consumers to make their travel bookings with direct calls to action. 

India is now the sixth largest international source market and is one of the top 3 focus markets for South African Tourism globally, given that Indian travellers are resilient and adventurous. Travellers from India to South Africa ARE NOT required to produce a complete vaccination certificate or a negative PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test currently.

This rate is also available to the Indian travel trade on the Air Seychelles website.”
