Kochi Marriott Hotel has appointed Shyam Nair as the new Associate Director of Human Resources. Nair had a long and illustrious career with the Indian Air Force and is a veteran with 20 years of experience. He brings with him 13 years of experience in the hospitality industry and experience in leadership and managing large teams.
 Before joining Marriott International, Nair served as Director of Loss Prevention for renowned brands such as Radisson and The Park Hotel. During his most recent stint at Kochi Marriott, he was the multi-property Director of Loss & Prevention and gradually forayed into the human resources space, he aims to utilise his expertise to oversee recruitment, strategic human resource management, training, as well as other administrative functions.

In his new role, he will provide strategic leadership and guidance in the areas of recruitment, compensation management, HRM, training and development, management/staff relations, employee retention and other related functions.
