Novotel ibis Chennai OMR, Novotel Chennai SIPCOT start providing 'Cooling Kit' to Swiggy, Zomato riders
Both the hotels operate a round-the-clock food delivery service on these platforms
Novotel ibis Chennai OMR and Novotel Chennai SIPCOT have started an initiative of providing a ‘Cooling Kit’ for all the riders of food aggregator platforms Swiggy and Zomato that visit the hotel to collect food orders that guests order from the hotel through these food aggregators.
Both the hotels operate a round-the-clock food delivery service on these platforms. A lot of riders visit the hotel multiple times throughout the day. The hotels have already identified a shaded space for these riders to wait until the food order is ready. Considering the rising temperatures this year and the humid atmosphere, the hotel has decided to give away a "cooling kit" that can provide some respite to the riders. This kit consists of water, buttermilk, a peanut jaggery bar and some wet tissues. This kit is curated to ensure that the riders are given some respite in the heat and are able to avoid any sort of severe health hazards caused due to heat and humidity.
Puneet Dhawan – Senior Vice President Operations Accor India and South Asia, inaugurated this initiative. Also present at the occasion were Pratima Badhwar - Head of Commercial India and South Asia, Vineet Mishra - Cluster General Manager of Pullman & Novotel New Delhi Aerocity, along with Novotel & Ibis Bengaluru Outer Ring Road and Novotel ibis Chennai OMR and Novotel Chennai SIPCOT and Rayan Aranha – General Manager Novotel ibis Chennai OMR and Novotel Chennai SIPCOT.
Speaking on the occasion, Dhawan said, "We at Accor are in the pursuit of ensuring the overall well-being of all our patrons and partners. Aranha said, "These riders have been helping us ensure that the array of culinary delights can reach our guests safely in the comfort of their homes. We would also like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to all the riders who helped us during the testing times of the pandemic and ensured that our guests did not miss their favourite dishes from both the hotels.”
