On this occasion, Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach was recognised for its contribution towards the tourism industry in South India as the “Best Contribution to Hospitality in South India" award presented by Shri Basavaraj Bommai, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka. 

The glittering ceremony of SIHRA was held under the presence of dignitaries such as G Kishan Reddy, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Development of North East Region; Anand Singh, Minister of Tourism, Govt of Karnataka; Dr Mathiventhan, Minister of Tourism, Govt of Tamil Nadu; RK Roja, Minister of Tourism, Govt of Andhra Pradesh and V Srinivas Goud, Minister of Tourism, Govt of Telangana among others.
