To give much-needed boost to the night economy of the National Capital, especially after the challenging period of the pandemic, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Vinai Kumar Saxena allowed select restaurants to operate 24x7 in the state. The decision was taken last month when around 300 restaurants were permitted to operate through the night. Ever since, the LG has been working on granting permission to more such establishments, a move that has been widely welcomed by various stakeholders in the hospitality industry.

This is a welcome move intended to promote a positive and favourable business environment, a prerequisite for economic growth. This policy is expected to increase job creation in the Capital. While speculating a boost in businesses, it predicts an upheaval for the industries that were hit by the pandemic. It is also expected to help the Capital’s hospitality sector achieve its full potential and take businesses to a profitable future. It’s a sheer blessing for new first-gen entrepreneurs to dodge hefty processes, restrictions and struggles during the early crucial stages. It will lead to an all-rounded uplift of one of the thriving industries in the country.

The decision will give a boost to economic activities, employment generation and night-time economy by working to promote the PM’s dictum of ‘less government, more governance’ and implementing ‘ease of doing business’. Nowadays, as there are emerging concerns over climate change and damaged ecosystem filters, suggestions regarding restaurant sustainability should be included. It’ll help businesses to move forward into a profitable, eco-friendly future.

This is a great move initiated by the high-power committee to facilitate licence requirements for all restaurants and eateries in the Capital city of India. Not only this opens up new opportunities for us to boost our nightlife, we are sure this step will pave the way for late-night dining, alfresco eateries and dining in open air and on terraces.

This decision by the LG will not only help in stable employment but help in building India’s hospitality sector as one of the most revenue generating businesses. Such opportunities will help younger generation to step up and include younger twists and ideas for a fresh approach. The F&B industry is the most entertaining and giving businesses and such regulations will be another step in booming India’s economy and status.

This is truly an excellent move. Rather than running to different offices for documentation procedures, we will be happy to share all our documents at one window. This step will surely save both ours and the government’s time. Having said that, we restaurateurs aim to take our cafe and restaurants culture globally too.
