Hyatt Regency Chennai announces two new appointments

While Backiaraj has been appointed Information System Manager, Deborah Peerez takes over as the Learning Manager at the property

Hyatt Regency Chennai, five-star premium business hotel, located conveniently in Anna Salai, the city’s central business district, has announced the appointment of Backiaraj as the Information System Manager and Deborah Peerez as the Learning Manager.

Backiaraj has joined Hyatt Regency Chennai as the Information System Manager. He has over 14+ years of experience in IT Operations, IT Infrastructure management, IT Projects management and Guests relation management. Prior to this, Backiaraj worked with some hospitality brands like Feathers, Taj, Ramada, Marriott, IHG and has gained a vast experience in various Hotel Application Software’s. His expertise lies in LAN Support, WiFi routers, Windows Server. Switches etc. He also has a sound exposure in deploying and managing various IP systems. At Hyatt Regency Chennai, he will be responsible for the effective implementation of the hotel technology components, lead the department, provide technical assistance, ensure compliance as per the Hyatt Brand Standards, etc.

Peerez comes with 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry as a Training Manager. She brings along with her great experience and learning from prestigious groups like ITC Chola Sheraton, SRM Institute, Asiana Hotels, The Park, Aura Integrated Solutions and Feather’s where her last assignment was as Director of Learning & Development. She has played her roles both developing people with her training skills and mentoring them to succeed in their careers and she is excited to start her career with Hyatt.
