Domestic Travel can Boost the Indian Travel Industry After Lockdown: Journey Weavers

The key to a sector’s survival is to look for alternative businesses and immediate solutions to boost the travel industry will be through domestic travel in 2020-21.

THE GLOBAL travel and tourism industry has been hit drastically by the outbreak of Coronavirus. According to World Travel & Tourism Council reports that 75 million people’s jobs are on stake and the borders of other countries will be sealed for over the next 6 months.

As per travel professionals and entrepreneurs, this catastrophe had put International travel, inbound or outbound on a standstill for a very long period. The key to a sector’s survival is to look for alternative businesses and immediate solutions to boost the travel industry will be through domestic travel in 2020-21.  

The Covid19 attack has rushed many travel companies to revamp their targets, strategy and plans for the year. To sustain the segment; travel companies would need

* Government support

* Job security and financial exclusions for travel entrepreneurs

* High medical and precautionary measures to revive normalcy

* Coronavirus medical certifications

* Govt. should continue with precautions to ensure safety of people like temperature checks at railway stations and airports, public awareness etc.
