The hotel group has introduced various measures in order to help the community amidst the surging COVID-19 cases.

The Hospitality industry has been severely hit with the ongoing second wave of COVID-19 and has left the entire country in a dire state. In these tough times, the industry has shown resilience and empathy by stepping up and helping the community. 

Choice Hotels' “Making Room for Responsibility” programme is a CSR programme that they have introduced to improve the quality of life for associates and their families, as well as local community and society as a whole. 

In line with the government’s safety and health SOPs, the company’s  “Commitment to Clean’ programme, is aimed to provide safe, clean and hygienic accommodation, across their hotels with adherence to Covid appropriate protocols and operating procedures.

The hotel group has also launched vaccination programme for their employees.  They are bearing the costs of vaccination of the employees and their families . In addition, have made provision for oxygen concentrators to be available, to meet any immediate requirement of an employee or his family .

Moreover “Choice Covid Health Fund” has been incorporated to provide for any contingency that may arise for their employees or their families. This fund is to be used exclusively towards hospitalisation of employees or their immediate families.

Selected hotels are offering quarantine facilities and have partnered with local hospitals . Quarantine rooms are available for asymptomatic and mildly symptomatic COVID-19 patients.

Some of the hotels are also hosting health care workers and have offered hugely discounted complimentary accommodations to healthcare workers. 

Comfort Inn Emerald, Dapoli has donated multi parameters monitor to the Civil Hospital at Dapoli. Comfort Hotel Vista Lucknow has collaborated with NGO and has arranged for complimentary ambulance services for ferrying patients to hospitals and assisted the families of the departed to the cremation grounds. The hotel also welcomed the stay of healthcare workers on complimentary basis.

Comfort Inn Insys Bengaluru, are preparing and distributing free meals to the needy on daily basis.In the effort to serve the community, Comfort Inn Tulip Heights in association with local hospital and welfare organisation, is providing healthy nutritious meals to Covid patients.
