Ayatana unveils their newest property in Ooty, Tamil Nadu

The suites, Standard and Deluxe, offer accommodations of 520 sq ft and 600 sq ft respectively

Ayatana, a chain of boutique hotels and luxury resorts in South India, has announced the opening of their newest property in Ooty, Tamil Nadu. Ayatana aims to provide an authentic and culturally rich experience to its guests, with each property inspired by its surroundings. The latest addition to the Ayatana family, the Ooty property is a luxury colonial heritage.

The Ayatana resort is located in Ooty, which is in the Nilgiris Hills and is known for its tea plantations, colonial influence and being the old Madras Presidency summer capital. The property is marked by a red stone-cladding wall at the entrance, creating a sense of intrigue and mystery. The interiors incorporate contemporary colonial elements with grand welcoming lobbies and accent stone walls, providing a rustic countryside charm to the establishment.

The lodges are designed to infuse the local culture, providing an experience of the region. The suites, Standard and Deluxe, offer accommodations of 520 sq ft and 600 sq ft respectively. The rooms are adorned with traditionally embroidered furnishings made by local Toda tribeswomen, showcasing the heritage and culture of Ooty. The property features an array of amenities such as a 19m x 7m swimming pool, a spa and conference facilities spanning across 1,640 sq ft.

Speaking about the Ooty launch, Vishal Tony, the Founder of Ayatana, said, "We are thrilled to announce the launch of our second property in Tamil Nadu, inspired by the region's colonial heritage. Ayatana-Ooty offers a dining experience with the Tycoon restaurant, serving Indian, Chinese, South Indian, and Continental cuisine. The resort offers greenery all around, and each cottage has been placed to offer a view from its balcony. Guests can view of the tea estate from their rooms, and also from the bar and swimming pool, which is temperature-controlled. The Kattery Water Fall and Dam are located nearby and guests can also visit all the famous view points and sightseeing spots like the Botanical Garden, Ooty Lake House, and Rose Garden. Love Dale railway station is just 6 km away, where guests can experience a thrilling toy train ride into the wild.
