Accor Celebrates First Sofitel Hotel in Mexico With the Opening of Sofitel Mexico City Reforma

The highly anticipated property is the first luxury hotel to arrive in Mexico City in over a decade, and provides a new and unique offering that elegantly merges modern French art de vivre with the essence of the local destination for an extraordinary guest experience

ACCOR ANNOUNCED the opening of Sofitel Mexico City Reforma, the first Sofitel branded property in Mexico. Located on Paseo de la Reforma, one of the most iconic avenues worldwide, Sofitel Mexico City Reforma is the first luxury hotel to open in Mexico City in more than a decade, offering an artful blend of modern French art de vivre with the vibrant essence of Mexico. A sophisticated and stylish address in the heart of Mexico City, the hotel boasts a stunning contemporary exterior and features 275 luxurious guestrooms, two elegant dining experiences and three bars, a Sofitel Spa with L’Occitane, state-of-the-art fitness center and indoor pool, and over 7,000 square feet of meetings and events space.

Situated on Paseo de la Reforma, and neighboring the emblematic Angel of Independence monument, guests experience a grand arrival upon entering Sofitel Mexico City Reforma. At the base of the hotel sits a restored house originally built in 1983; the historic structure was incorporated into the modern design of the 40-story building in order to preserve the city’s architecture and history, resulting in a dramatic and striking exterior built upon both contemporary and classic architecture and design styles.

Sofitel Mexico City Reforma features 275 stylishly appointed guestrooms – 219 Superior & Luxury Rooms and 56 Suites – located on the 15th through 37th floors, all with unparalleled views of Mexico City. Guestrooms are modern and spacious, dressed in serene and cool hues with playful touches of pink and blue, and complemented by contrasting materials, including textured walls, wood paneling and marble finishes. The hotel also features the elegant Imperial Suite, located on the 37th floor with over 3,300 square feet of living space, including a separate living room and dining room with floor to ceiling windows throughout the entire suite.
