‘We want to turn Bengaluru into India’s best MICE destination’

Manish Garg, General Manager, Hilton Garden Inn Bengaluru Embassy Manyata Business Park, says the property has been designed for new-age traveller who relies on technology

The country’s largest Hilton Garden Inn property and among the top ones in Asia Pacific in terms of keys, the Hilton Garden Inn Bengaluru Embassy Manyata Business Park is an upscale hotel designed for tech-savvy new-age traveller while effectively addressing heightened cleanliness and safety requirements. The property has the highest number of Hollywood twin bedrooms in the city, a total of 179, making it a great advantage for guests hosting social events and conferences. The hotel is attached to Hilton Convention Centre which offers around 60,000 sq feet of convention space, making it ideal for Meetings, Incentive, Conventions and Events (MICE).

The property has introduced tech-enabled experiences, tailor-made for post-pandemic travel right from digital keys via the Hilton Honors App to bedside lamps-cum-mobile charging pads, digital menus and Smart televisions. Then, there are two vibrant dining outlets and a spacious fitness centre along with an open-air temperature-controlled pool. Lastly, the quick travel time of around 30 minutes travel from Bengaluru International Airport makes it a convenient location for all travellers.

The Hilton Garden Inn Bengaluru is designed and fitted for the new-age traveller who relies on technology to run his or her lifestyle apart from work priorities. The hotel has extensive use of outdoor and indoor settings, well-lit with a lot of natural light and stylish expansive spaces. The interiors have been designed by the world-renowned Andy Fisher Workshop Pte Ltd, Singapore with emphasis on future first sustainability.

Catering to the needs of leisure and business traveller
“The Hilton Garden Inn Bengaluru caters effectively to a host of requirements that travellers seek under the bleisure travel umbrella. From free high-speed wi-fi to smart technology in the room that lets guests lead their lifestyle of choice even when travelling to a thoughtful dining menu that caters to various dietary preferences and tastes, the strength of Hilton Garden Inn Bengaluru is its plug and play service design,” says Manish Garg, General Manager, Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn Bengaluru Embassy Manyata Business Park.

Guests staying at the property get access to a host of integrated amenities available within the Hilton Bengaluru Embassy Manyata Business Park. These include five eclectic food and beverage outlets, a full-fledged fitness centre, a temperature-controlled open-air pool and a unique 24-hour retail centre for guests to unwind after a long day of work or travel. “We have thoughtfully appointed family rooms which come as an interconnecting set for guests travelling in small groups or as a family. Being easily connected to the airport and key transit points into the city, the hotel is an excellent destination for combining work visits with a few additional days off to site seeing in the city or traveling to some great destinations that Karnataka has to offer right from the National parks to UNESCO Heritage sites and even a Tibetan community town!” he adds.

F&B attractions
The property’s culinary philosophy, Food – Thoughtfully Sourced, Carefully Served is reflected in all its F&B experiences. “We have two exciting F&B outlets at Hilton Garden Inn Bengaluru: ‘F5’, our all-day diner, offers a multi-cuisine spread for breakfast, lunch and dinner along with live counters like sourdough pizza station and robata grills. Then there is an extensive a la carte selection including a meal in bowl and meal in box curations for specific dietary requirements like vegans, Jain food and office takeaway. The ambience of this outlet is all about comfortable elegance where guests can eat, drink and refresh as the name suggests. F5’s logo is an ode to the different kinds of diners in Namma Bengaluru. Falguni is the sassy Bengaluru Hudugi while Fenny is the laidback ‘chill guy’ that we all have in our close social circles. But together when we socialise, we always have a great time. It also reflects the well-thought-through menu where we have something for everyone!” he shares.

Garg also talks about Tech Tonic, the transitional lounge space that offers classic and innovative cocktails, affordable drinks and signature bar bites. “We also curate thematic pop-ups like zero-proof alchemy for group gatherings in private banquet venues,” he adds. The hotel is steps away from the upcoming retail zone within the complex which brings more options for guests to explore retail and stand-alone dining experiences.

Current booking trends
“We focussed on design thinking efforts along with in-depth market research as one of the key aspects of the launch so that we are aware of what our customers want when they resume travel globally. Locally, we have already started seeing green shots since last year and our reservation trends reflect an uptick in domestic business and leisure travel. We are also seeing a slow increase in demand for events – especially in the corporate space and we are proud to note that we have booking inquiries already running for even 2024 considering the integrated MICE advantage we offer for clients,” shares Garg.

Talking about talent and culture, the GM says that their biggest strength is the talent that makes this complex come alive with dedicated, focussed efforts and a vibrant personality. “In terms of team and culture, we are proud to share that 46 per cent of our managerial pool consists of female team members, amongst the highest in the Indian hospitality space at present. Around 30 per cent of our workforce comprises female team members across all functions,” says Garg, adding the complex features a contemporary design built mindfully for the technology-enabled traveller.

“Energy efficient technology such as in-room motion and light sensors feature in every room while smartphone-connected features offer ease of stay for guests on the go. In keeping with our vision of sustainable hospitality, our compact bottling unit within premises provides safe drinking water, doing away with a large quantity of plastic waste generated from disposable water bottles. Through our solar energy plant within the complex, the hotel generates clean energy to run our air-conditioning chiller plant self-sufficiently. Also, we have introduced recyclable organic plant-based mugs and cups in the guest rooms,” he says.

Garg informs that the soon-to-be-launched Hilton Bengaluru Embassy Manyata Business Park with additional 266 modern and spacious guest rooms and suites and the Hilton Convention Centre is well-prepared to place North Bengaluru as a key MICE destination. “We look forward to working in partnership with stakeholders across domains to make it among India’s best MICE destinations in the next few years,” he concludes.
