JW Marriott, Pune has made three new appointments – Luke Rodrigues who takes over as the new Front Office Manager, Manikandan Sivamoorthy as Executive Pastry Chef and Amitesh Virdi as Executive Chef.
Luke Rodrigues is a graduate of IHM Mumbai and brings with him a wealth of experience garnered over a decade. Rodrigues commenced his journey with IHG, where he served as a management trainee, dedicating three fruitful years to two units - Holiday Inn Mumbai and Holiday Inn Resorts Goa. His professional trajectory then led him to Hyatt, where he spent seven years contributing to the success of three distinguished hotels: Grand Hyatt Kochi, Hyatt Centric Delhi, and Grand Hyatt Mumbai.
Now, as a member of the Marriott family, Rodrigues assumes the pivotal role of managing daily front office operations at JW Marriott Pune. His responsibilities encompass delivering personalised guest experiences, cultivating brand loyalty, and inspiring the team to embrace daily challenges. Luke oversees crucial departments such as reservations, concierge, club, guest relations and front desk, ensuring the delivery of memorable and personalised interactions for our esteemed guests to cherish.
Manikandan Sivamoorthy, the new Executive Pastry Chef, is aseasoned culinary professional and brings a wealth of experience in crafting exquisite pastry creations across various settings. Previously serving as the Executive Pastry Chef at Shangri-La Bangalore, Sivamoorthy has demonstrated exemplary leadership by overseeing operations in coffee shops, specialty restaurants, banquets, and cake shops. His proven track record underscores his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and creativity.
With a solid educational foundation and an illustrious career in esteemed hotel brands such as Shangri-La, Marriott, Hyatt, IHG and Accor, Sivamoorthy is renowned for his exceptional leadership skills. His dedication to excellence is reflected in his unwavering commitment to upholding the pinnacle of quality in his position.
Also joining the property is Amitesh Virdi who takes over as the Executive Chef. With a culinary career spanning over 23 years, Chef Amitesh brings a wealth of experience and a distinguished reputation to our esteemed establishment. His culinary journey includes noteworthy roles at renowned establishments such as Grand Hyatt (Delhi & Mumbai), JW Marriott Juhu Mumbai, and others. Formerly serving as the Brand Chef for Punjab Grill, he successfully managed up to 10 restaurants in Western and South India. Chef Amitesh's expertise spans various cuisines, making him a valuable asset to JW Marriott Pune.
