The Westin Mumbai Garden City appoints Sonali Merchant Chavan as Director of Human Resources. She will be responsible for employee progression, workforce management, and developing innovative HR strategies for the associates.

Prior to joining The Westin Mumbai, Chavan held the position of Director-Human Resources at The Westin Pune. With over 14 years of well-rounded experience in human resource management, she has worked with major hospitality brands like the Taj and Accor group of hotels. She has also been a part of multiple pre-opening hotels, spearheading the human resource department and brings with her a fresh and rich culture adopted at every stint.

A post graduate diploma holder in the field of hospitality from the Swiss Hotel Management School, Chavan is known for her proactive approach and strong work ethic. In 2017 during her tenure with the Accor hotels she was recognised for her creative efforts and awarded the “Talent & Culture Person of the Year” in India.
