The Leela Gandhinagar hosts royals, Baba Manek Nath’s descendants on city’s 611th birth anniversary
Guests were treated to a delicately crafted culinary repertoire with a medley of flavours ranging from kebabs and curries to celebrated local delicacies

To mark the city’s 611 birth anniversary, The Leela Gandhinagar hosted prominent royals and descendants of Baba Manek Nath, the founding Guru of Ahmedabad city. The esteemed guests were treated to a delicately crafted culinary repertoire with a medley of flavours ranging from kebabs and curries to celebrated local delicacies made with authentic handpicked ingredients representative of a distinctive culinary trail from ancient to modern India. Created by Master Chef Mohammad Javed, the guests were served delectable treats from the Northwest Frontier cuisine.

Amongst the other distinguished guests were the descendants of Baba Manek Nath under whose spiritual guidance the foundation stone of Ahmedabad was laid in 1411. These included Subodh Nath, Abhishek Nath and Chandan Nath, the 13th Mahant of Manek Nathji’s Gaadi.
