Golden Play Private Limited, an online gaming and casino company based out of Delhi, has announced the opening of its Ramada by Wyndham Hotel & Golden Casino in Gangtok, Sikkim.

Gangtok is a popular hill station in Eastern India, close to Darjeeling, and is the capital and largest town of the Indian state of Sikkim. Gangtok is located in the eastern Himalayan range, nestled within higher peaks of the Himalaya and enjoying a year-round mild temperate climate. 

“Gangtok is an important leisure destination in East India, and we are excited to open our second hotel in the region after Darjeeling under our popular Ramada by Wyndham brand. This year, we expect to open a brand new Ramada Encore by Wyndham in Siliguri, which will act as a base hotel for Gangtok and Darjeeling and further strengthen our presence and offering in the region and help to continue our growth momentum across East India,” said Nikhil Sharma, Regional Director Eurasia, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts EMEA.

Ramada by Wyndham Gangtok Hotel & Golden Casino is situated in Deorali area of Gangtok City and is within walking distance from the popular MG Marg in the heart of the city. It offers views of the Himalayan ranges. The hotel is located approximately an hour from the new Pakyong Airport and provides access and connectivity for guests flying in to Gangtok.

The hotel will feature a 10,000 sq ft casino, among the largest in Sikkim along with 57 contemporary guest rooms. Amenities such as a welcoming lobby lounge, a modern all-day dining restaurant and trendy bar and a wellness spa facility including an outdoor rooftop infinity pool, overlooking the Gangtok Valley are also a part of the hotel, which also offers meeting rooms and banquet halls spanning approximately 3,000 sq ft and a business centre.
