New Meliá Chiang Mai appoints Pornphan Chumjai as Spa Manager

She will oversee the daily operations of Meliá Chiang Mai’s YHI Spa

A professional with almost 15 years of hospitality wellness experience and a passion for leading teams of spa therapists has been named Meliá Chiang Mai’s Spa Manager. Thai national Pornphan Chumjai joins the urban hotel that opened in April this year on Charoen Prathet Road in the heart of Chiang Mai, after working at Cross Chiang Mai Riverside where she was the spa manager for two years and established the hotel’s spa.

She launched her career as a spa receptionist at Anantara Chiang Mai and steadily rose through the ranks to become a spa supervisor and then the spa manager during her nine years at the resort.  Chumjai was also the spa manager at Centara Duangtawan Chiang Mai and Siripanna Villa Resort & Spa for one year and two years respectively. In addition to developing an extensive spa menu featuring massages, scrubs, wraps, facials and hydrotherapy based on organic Thai wellness brand HARNN’s products, she oversees the daily operations of Meliá Chiang Mai’s YHI Spa.

Meliá Chiang Mai’s YHI Spa features seven private treatment rooms, designed in an underwater theme as well as a Thai herbal steam and sauna and a separate room for pedicures.
