Lemon Tree Hotels earns top honors for workplace equality in 2023

Lemon Tree Hotels has been recognised as India's Best Workplaces for Women 2023 and India's Best Workplaces for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging 2023 by the Workplace Inclusion Index assessment.
The accolades were based on a study capturing the perspectives of historically excluded communities. To be eligible for these awards, organisations were required to have at least 10% representation from historically excluded groups in their workforce. As of now, Lemon Tree Hotels employs more than 11% women and 14% opportunity-deprived individuals (ODIs). The company has set ambitious targets for the future, with a goal of reaching 15% women and 30% ODIs by FY 2026. An active recruitment policy is in place to ensure the timely achievement of these targets.
Rajesh Kumar, Senior Vice President, HR, Lemon Tree Hotels, expressed the company's dedication to promoting well-being and self-worth among colleagues while emphasising diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity. He said, “Lemon Tree Hotels places a special focus on empowering women at all levels and ensuring their comfort and growth in the workplace. The company also aims to mainstream 'Opportunity Deprived Individuals' (ODIs) into its workforce, which encompasses individuals from marginalised backgrounds, including those who are physically and/or intellectually differently abled, acid survivors, orphans, widows, school dropouts, transgenders, and those who are socially, educationally, or economically deprived."
These recognitions highlight Lemon Tree Hotels' steadfast commitment to promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within its organisation, setting a benchmark for the Indian corporate landscape.
