JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu brings iconic Savya Rasa to Mumbai for the first time

Beginning December 1, 2022, the award-winning South Indian fine-dining restaurant arrives at Saffron for four days

As JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu continues to present memorable culinary experiences from across the world, Savya Rasa, the award-winning South Indian fine-dining restaurant, for the first time ever comes to Mumbai with an exclusive four-day pop-up at Saffron, the Indian specialty restaurant from December 1 to December 4, 2022.

A celebration of rich indigenous produce and responsibly sourced ingredients, Saffron is discerning in its selective connections to the community. Saffron x Savya Rasa offers an experience where authentic South Indian delicacies recreated from traditional recipes, stay true to the warmth and richness of the region. “At Saffron, our aim is to showcase the best of the Indian subcontinent – cuisine, which is locally sourced and artfully crafted, making for a heart-warming meal. Savya Rasa perfectly complements this philosophy, and we are excited to introduce this flavorsome experience to the people of Mumbai”, says Rohit Chadha, Executive Sous Chef, JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu.

Chef Sheik Mohideen, Brand Chef at Savya Rasa, with over 15 years of extensive culinary experience has crafted an experimental menu which compiles some of the most diverse and vast culinary offerings from the states of Southern India, encompassing cuisines like Chettinadu, Mangaluru, Malabar, Nellore and Kongunadu. “More often than not, most people outside of Southern India consider Idli, Vada, Sambar, Dosa etc. as quintessential South Indian food. Through Savya Rasa our intent is to change this notion and celebrate the richness of South Indian cuisine, and we are delighted to showcase the experience at Saffron, for the first time in Mumbai,” he said.

Prepared using the finest ingredients and paired with refined presentation to make for a delectable gourmet experience, guests can savor over 30 traditional South Indian signatures such as Kozhi Rasam, Poricha Parotta with Paneer Ghee Roast, Neikarampatti Narukattu Gola Urundai, Pacha Masala Meen Fry, Aikora Pollichathu, Nalukettu Kozhi Curry, Chemeen Manga Curry and Kongu Mutton Biryani among others.
