India at 75 - Independence Day 2022: Hospitality industry celebrates Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav

While some hotels took part in Har Ghar Tiranga initiative, some decided to offer discounts and host special meals

As India marks the 75th Independence Day, many hospitality brands are celebrating 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' in their own ways. ITC Royal Bengal was lit up in the colours of Indian flag to take part in the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' initiative. 

A similar initiative was also taken up by Shangri-La Eros New Delhi. 

Meanwhile, Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), the parent company of Taj Hotels, launched the Azadi Mahotsav Offer. Under this offer, guests can avail discounts of up to 25 per cent on stays, stays including breakfast, one major meal and a celebratory amenity across all IHCL hotels. The offer is valid on bookings made till August 21 for stays scheduled till October 31. 

The Claridges, New Delhi's premium delivery service Tiffin by Claridges is providing a specially curated menu containing dishes such as Fish Tikka, Mutton Tikka, Murgh Highway Tikka, Panner Tikka, Tandoori Gobhi, Makai Pyaz ki Seekh, Kebab with Stuffed Kulcha, Dal Dhaba, Murgh Pulao, Aloo Aur Pyaz Ka Pulao and Ghevar on the occasion. 

Lords Hotels and Resorts is hosting special dinner brunch pan-India at multi-cuisine restaurant Blue Coriander, featuring 75 authentic dishes from all parts of India. 

The Fern Hotels & Resorts also decided to offer guests discounts of up to 50 per cent on bookings made till August 21 for stays between August 22 and September 30.  

Travel technology company OYO also announced slashed prices via its OYO app on stays till August 21 to mark the occasion. 

On the other hand, Taj Palace, New Delhi, JW Marriott Bengaluru and Roseate Hotels & Resorts hosted special Independence Day meals.
