The country's largest hospitality company, Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), announces the opening of Taj Taal Kutir in the vibrant city. Strategically located near the Kolkata International Airport, this new addition seamlessly blends colonial design with a contemporary setting in the smart city of New Town. 

Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of IHCL, expressed his excitement, stating, “Taj, with a strong presence in Kolkata for over three decades, now extends its offering with Taj Taal Kutir in New Town. With this addition, IHCL is addressing the growing demand for emerging micromarkets in the city. Serving as the gateway to East India, Kolkata holds immense commercial and tourism potential, and we remain committed to growing our presence in the region. We are delighted to once again partner with Mr. Harshavardhan Neotia and the Ambuja Neotia Group." 

Situated overlooking the 100-acre lake in the Eco Park, Taj Taal Kutir boasts 75 luxurious rooms and suites adorned with colonial touches, including high ceilings, vintage-style furniture, and inviting sit-outs. The hotel features The Verandah, an all-day diner, the classic jazz and Gatsby-era-inspired bar Rhyddim, and The Lakeview Lounge for leisurely evenings. Guests can also experience wellness at the award-winning J Wellness Circle spa, rooted in the rich and healing traditions of India. 

The hotel's expansive banqueting and conferencing facilities, spread across 50,000 sq. ft., offer six venues ranging from 3,000 sq. ft. to over 12,000 sq. ft. It includes indoor and outdoor spaces with open-to-the-sky terraces, making it an ideal destination for grand social events and conferences.
