Hyatt enters the Cambodian Capital of Phnom Penh with 247 keys

247-room Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh debuts in the city with the launch of Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh.

Hyatt recently launched Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh. This launch marks the entry of the first Hyatt hotel in the Cambodian capital. Housing 247 guestrooms including 43 residential-style suites, the Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh is in the cultural and business district of Doun Penh. It is located at a 30-minutes drive from the airport and within a short walking distance to the Royal Palace, National Museum and the riverside. The business travellers and leisure guests can avail contemporary comfort and convenience served with the warmth of Cambodian hospitality.

Crafted by award-winning Singapore-based SCDA Architects and leading Thailand-based PIA Interior, the hotel mirrors Cambodia's unique history, while coupling Khmer architectural accents and French colonial influences. The hotel also has also installed specially-commissioned artworks by contemporary Cambodian artist, FONKi.

The centrepiece reflecting French heritage building flanked by sweet-smelling frangipani trees never fails to attract visitors' attention. Built like a colonial villa in the early 20th century, the restored lemon-colored Colonial House with its wooden shutters, arched doorways, and the terracotta-tiled roof has been formulated as the hotel's entrance.

Behind the Colonial House is the newly constructed 14-story main building, having 247 guestrooms, including 43 suites, hardwood floors, and marble bathrooms. Starting from 328 square feet (30.5 square meters) for a standard room, the guestrooms provide modern comforts, such as complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, 65" TVs, Stay cast powered by Google Chromecast systems. In addition to that, walk-in rain showers, with distinct Khmer touches, and an intricately carved headboard depicting Bayon Temple are also available. Each room has the Hyatt Mobile Entry technology, through which guests can access their room keys on their smartphones. The 1087 square feet (101 square meters) Royal Suite features two ensuite bedrooms, a walk-in closet, a powder room, separate living and dining areas, a pantry, and floor-to-ceiling views to take in the city views.

Guests staying on level 10 and above can access the Regency Club Lounge. Exclusive check-in and check-out services and daily breakfast, evening canapés, and complimentary drinks with scenic city views are some of the hotel's privileges.

Gastronome's Paradise

Market Café Restaurant & Lounge, an inviting all-day dining concept, is available inside a light-filled atrium serving buffet breakfast, afternoon tea, and à la carte options. Metropole Underground, an early 20th-century metro-themed bar, plays live music and offers local beers. The Attic is another old-world speakeasy-style bar in the Colonial House that specialises in handcrafted cocktails and grand cru wines. Known as the social hotspot, FiveFive Rooftop Restaurant & Bar, an open-plan dining setting spanning the rooftop on level 14, hosts live DJ performances. Here, fresh seafood, locally-sourced meats and produce, refreshing cocktails are available. All this can be accessed while enjoying the picturesque views of Royal Palace, the Mekong River, and the city skyline.


Dedicated venue for MICE 

Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh will include 1400 square meters of meeting and event space to conduct business conferences and social events. The Regency Ballroom can accommodate up to 490 guests, and features floor-to-ceiling windows, and the only built-in full-color LED screen in the city.

Besides, nine meeting suites and social spaces offer flexible arrangements. It can be used as a boardroom for 14 people and as a reception space for 200 guests. Moreover, The Poolhouse has an outdoor barbecue area and an open terrace that can house up to 70 guests. Most venues offer natural sunlight and have the latest audio-visual facilities such as smart LED televisions, high-definition video conferencing suites, and wireless internet.

Recreational offerings

Recreational facilities available here include the hotel's 22-meter outdoor infinity pool surrounded by lush greenery, a poolside bar, a Himalayan salt room, and a steam room. The 24-hour gym has provisions for the cardio zone, strength zone, and free weights. Personal trainers can also be availed upon request.

The hotel's spa, Jivapita which means 'restored to life' in Sanskrit language, offers a plethora of body and facial treatments including a signature 60 or 90-minute' Khmer Indigenous Therapy' massage. Using the traditional Khmer massage techniques, the treatments can soothe aching limbs, improve circulation and restore vitality.

Assured Health and hygiene 

Hyatt's multi-layered Global Care & Cleanliness Commitment guarantees staff and guest safety. In addition to mandatory temperature checks and the wearing of face masks, all hotel guests must wear face coverings when moving throughout the hotel and in common, shared spaces. Complimentary alcohol spray and alcohol pads have been provided in guestrooms and communal areas.

Similarly, to eliminate the possibility of contact during check-in and check-out, the hotel relies on e- check-in an e-check out facilitated by emailing the bill and cashless payments. Socially-distanced seating arrangements are available in all meeting and functions rooms, F&B outlets, and recreational facilities, including the pool, locker rooms, and fitness centre.  Provision of digital menus, newspapers, and magazines will be there. The hotel will also give complimentary personal protective equipment kits containing premium masks, alcohol wipes, and other comfort supplies upon arrival.
