Hafele set foot in India in 2001 as a liaison office essentially handling hospitality projects for its line of Access Control Systems – Dialock. The growing hardware demand and the increasing architectural maturity motivated the company to start full commercial operations in India in 2003 as a wholly owned subsidiary by the name, Hafele India Pvt Ltd. With its head office in Mumbai, 10 regional offices (including Bangladesh and Sri Lanka) with design centres in all major metros and sales presence across the country, Hafele India has, over the last 16 years, acquired a leading position in the Indian architectural hardware industry.

These are touch-free, effortless in operations, ergonomically smart and aesthetically elegant. Hafele’s high performance automatic door series under its SLIDO range of sliding solutions, not only conforms to the myriad expectations from the hotel guests but delivers even more. Loaded with functional features like modern automation, easy customisations, buildable configurations and reliable operations, these systems falling under this series are compatible for use in different areas like hotel main entrance to lobby (revolving doors) and other public areas where swing/ sliding glass doors are used to demarcate between lobbies to restaurant, all-day dining and business centre,” shares Saurav Das, Head – Projects & Hospitality South Asia, Hafele India Pvt Ltd.

In addition, the company has introduced an economical range of access control systems under the Prolock series with two models PL 50 and PL 200. This range is suitable for access control needs for hotel rooms and come equipped with latest technology at an approachable price point. “Earlier this year, Hafele launched an in-house range of furniture fittings like under-mount drawer runners and furniture hinges,” he says.

LATEST OFFERINGS

The latest launches offered now and for future include a complete range of furniture and kitchen solutions with assured Hafele quality. “This range includes the Matrix Drawer and Runner systems, Free Flap Fittings, Metalla 510 Furniture Hinges and Clever Storage Solutions like tall units, side pull-outs, narrow cabinets and corner units,” Das says, adding that a floor-to-ceiling sliding solution called Aluflex “can execute the most flexible applications within your home - be it an enclosure for a walk-in wardrobe or an attractive, life-sized wardrobe unit”. 

Another new lauch is a comprehensive range of Digital Lock Solutions that include models with a host of security and access features along with executing different applications like main-door security, office-cabin security, access for hotel guest rooms and elevator access (RFID-based) along with Hafele’s in-house range of premium interior surfaces – Terra (added new colours to this range to provide more options in design and applications) as also customised sizes of Aquasys Light Mirrors in different finish frames as well as per the size requirements of the customers.

Not this alone, Hafele directly provides turnkey solutions, from designing to installation to services) for acoustic movable wall partitions, automatic door solutions, RFID locks for guest rooms, elevator access and shower cubicle enclosures systems. Additionally, we can take other turnkey jobs as required by customer through our Meister services,” informs Das. He adds that their in-house team of customer care executives along with in-house trained and certified technicians manage all after-sales service requests.

“As far as tourism and hospitality are concerned, there are many upcoming hotels, resorts and rejuvenation centres across South Asia and some of these located in remote locations.
