Grand Mercure Gandhinagar GIFT City appoints Rahul Panwar as GM

To oversee daily business operations along with developing and implementing growth strategies

Grand Mercure Gandhinagar GIFT City has appointed Rahul Panwar as their new General Manager. A seasoned hospitality professional with approximately 15 years of experience, Panwar has worked in India and International markets, with a range of prominent brands including Hyatt, Starwood and Radisson. He has been associated with Accor since 2015, having worked with the teams in China and Vietnam before joining the Accor India team. In his most recent stint, Panwar was the hotel manager at ibis and Novotel Bengaluru, Outer Ring Road. 

Prior to this, he was Complex EAM for Novotel Phu Quoc Resort & Novotel Villas, Vietnam representing a combined inventory of 366 rooms and 96 villas along with extensive F&B offering and was responsible to manage the day-to-day operations of the hotel in accordance with the company’s policy and brand standards.

In his new role, Panwar will be responsible for overseeing daily business operations along with developing and implementing growth strategies. He will also supervise revenue growth and evaluate the performance and productivity, while ensuring high quality of service is being delivered to guests. A proven hospitality professional committed to inventive and experiential guest-oriented approach, Panwar, in the past, has contributed as Taskforce Support to Grand Mercure Gandhinagar GIFT City in absence of the hotel General Manager.
