Goa Marriott Resort & Spa celebrates annual cake mixing event

The hotel's team of associates were excited to host this fun-filled holiday activity, heralding the onset of the new season

The age-old tradition of cake-mixing to usher in good tidings and happiness is an essential part of Christmas. Going by the traditional method of preparing plum cakes, Goa Marriott Resort & Spa has celebrated its annual cake mixing on October 22, 2021.

The General Manager of this five-star Resort in Miramar, Gaurav Apte briefly addressed the invitees and announced the commencement of the ceremony. Loads of cashew nuts, walnuts, figs, dry apricots, orange peels, almonds, cranberries, prunes, raisins and spices were laid out altogether in the heady concoction of brandy, sherry and whisky, as guests who were gathered cheered on. The event, graced with locals and in house guests, mixing the ingredients in merriment. The event was followed with high tea wherein guests enjoyed the lip-smacking treats prepared by our chefs.
