Daikin India awarded at National Energy Conservation Awards 2022

Wins Appliance of the Year Award 2022 in the Air Conditioners category

Daikin India’s Chairman and Managing Director Kanwaljeet Jawa received the Appliance of the Year Award 2022 (Air Conditioners category) from the President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu at the National Energy Conservation Awards 2022 held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

Daikin India has the biggest manufacturing facilities across Neemrana in Rajasthan and Sri City in Andhra Pradesh with manufacturing capacity of over 2.5 million residential air conditioners with green refrigerant HFC32. It is also the global number one air conditioning manufacturer with over US$ 27 billion in total net sales. Daikin is also the first manufacturer to launch 5-star inverter air conditioners in India. The co-winner of Global Cooling Prize (GCP) 2021, Daikin has sold close to 160 million units of air conditioners powered by HFC32 worldwide with more than five million (estimated) HFC32 units since its introduction in India, in turn, reducing more than 800 million tonnes of CO2 (estimated) caused due to HFC32 air conditioners. The company has two R&D centres to conceptualise and develop products for the domestic and export markets.
