DS Group expands hospitality footprint in Southern India

The Group’s resolution plan for Viceroy Bangalore Hotels was approved by the Hyderabad bench of the National Company Law Tribunal in June

One of the leading FMCG conglomerates with strong Indian and International presence and multi-business corporation Dharampal Satyapal Group (DS Group) has acquired the Viceroy Bangalore Hotels Pvt Ltd following a bidding process. This marks the Group’s expansion in Southern India’s hospitality segment. Marriott-managed Renaissance Bengaluru, situated in the Central Business District, is owned by Viceroy Hotels. The hotel comprises 275 rooms and is spread in an area of around 1.8 acres.

Dharampal Satyapal Group’s resolution plan for Viceroy Bangalore Hotels was approved by the Hyderabad bench of the National Company Law Tribunal in June. Since 2000, the DS Group has had presence in the hospitality business and its its present hospitality portfolio includes Manu Maharani, Nainital and Namah, Jim Corbett National Park, both members of Radisson Individuals. The Group also owns Crowne Plaza Jaipur, Holiday Inn Express at Kolkata Airport and Radisson Blu Hotel Guwahati.
