Akasa Air introduces festive meals on board at Café Akasa

Offers all year round, unique festival menus inspired by Indian cuisines and celebrations

Akasa Air, India’s newest airline, has announced the launch of its special year-round festive meals on board at Café Akasa. The introduction of the festive menu is in line with the brand’s philosophy of offering an enjoyable and inclusive travel experience to all its customers.

In time for the festival season, the Café Akasa menu is designed to celebrate the spirit of Dussehra and will be available between September 20 and October 31, 2022. The month-long festivity in the skies is an amalgamation of diverse Indian flavours including Cholar Dal, Radhaballavi, Amshatto Khejur Chutney and Puran Potli Tart. Earlier this month, to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi, the airline was serving a special menu featuring Shakarkandi Chaat, Patoli with Shrikhand and Khasta Kachori pockets with spicy Ragda.

Speaking about the festive menu, Belson Coutinho, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing & Experience Officer at Akasa Air, said, “It is our constant endeavour to make air travel experience warm and inclusive for our customers. We are proud of India’s varied culture and to celebrate the country’s festive spirit, which is intrinsically connected with our rich food heritage, we are delighted to introduce our special festive meals. Each unique meal is specially curated to share the joy of celebrations and festivities, delivered by our crew in Akasa’s signature warm service. We hope that our customers will enjoy these authentic and indulgent gourmet experiences in the skies during this festive season."

Café Akasa will feature special festive menus for all the upcoming festivals through the year. The airline also offers pre-selection of cakes on its regular menu for flyers who want to celebrate the birthdays of their loved ones in the skies.
