Zia Shiekh, CEO, Svenska Hotels at The second BW Hotelier Indian Hospitality Summit & Awards said “the worst is behind us, it’s been a tough last year for the Indian Hospitality Sector as the economy has been low and a lot of supply hit the market as a result of which a lot of occupancies came under pressure. Now the economy has begun to pick up steam and a lot of supply pressure has been absorbed in the market. A couple of years are going to be great for the Indian Hospitality Sector. This sector is largely driven by domestic travelers and that is going to continue as we have more than a billion people who travel within the country and these travelers will give boost to this sector”
