We are confident that the government will prioritise a relief package for the sector: Subhash Goyal

Subhash Goyal, honorary secretary, FAITH delivered a vote of thanks towards the media, government and member organisations at the India Tourism Vision Day

Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism & Hospitality (FAITH) – the policy federation of all the national associations representing the complete tourism, travel and hospitality industry of India - ADTOI, ATOAI, FHRAI, HAI, IATO, ICPB, IHHA, ITTA, TAAI, TAFI.

The apex body of travel and tourism in India, FAITH, organised the first virtual ‘India Tourism Vision Day’ where all ten presidents of the associations under the FAITH umbrella discussed opportunities and challenges that confront Indian tourism. Speaking at the conference, Subhash Goyal, honorary secretary, FAITH - Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism & Hospitality, delivered a vote of thanks.

Thanking the press for its unwavering support to the sector during such unprecedented times, Subhash Goyal said, “More than ever in the history of independent India, in the past seven months post the pandemic, you the national press have supported the tourism, travel & hospitality industry immensely and we are extremely grateful to you for the same. Thank you also so much for agreeing to join in today. Our voice to the policy makers across the center and to all the state governments have been carried out for and wide by you and we thank you heartily.”

He also expressed gratitude to the government for its support. He said, “We also would like to express our thanks to the PMO, the finance ministry, the commerce ministry, the MSME ministry, aviation ministry railways ministry, all members of both the houses of parliaments, Niti Aayog, EG 6, Tourism, Parliamentary  committee   and to all state governments for listening to us patiently  and  most importantly  to the Ministry of Tourism which has constantly taken forward our concerns at the all the levels of the government.”

Concluding the address, Goyal said, “This is a highly stressed time for the government. But we are confident that our concerns will be addressed by the government and they will be able to prioritise a relief package for the Indian tourism, travel & hospitality from their limited resources. We are thankful to the complete membership of all our 10 member associations and all the industries who have stood together in this darkest moment of tourism and are watching our press conference in thousands.”
