WCCF launches the Chhattisgarh Chapter

Taking the World Chef Choice Federation (WCCF) India Chapter ahead, the WCCF recently launched the Chhattisgarh Chapter at The Aananda Imperial, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh.

The World Chef Choice Federation (WCCF) recently launched its Chhattisgarh Chapter that falls under the WCCF India Chapter umbrella during the event organised at The Aananda Imperial.

Commenting on the revival of the travel and tourism sector considering the upcoming vaccines in public usage that will instill confidence in travellers, Rajib Roy Choudhury, General Manager, The Aananda Imperial said, "After the strategic and mandatory lockdown, when the entire country came to a grinding halt to counter and fight the perils of the pandemic, the entire logistics, industries and various forms of mobility & mobilization were also cloistered, it is a great relief to know that several vaccines are finally on their way, resulting in people daring out of their houses and abodes."

"Riding this sentiment, the Domestic Tourism in India is going to witness a new high in the coming days. I strongly feel Chhattisgarh is also highly slated to see a new dawn in the inbound Travel & Tourism expansion, which otherwise have remained dormant till now. The resurgence has started setting in, and green shoots are somewhat visible, with India ranking fifth in the world in terms of revival. Chhattisgarh can be a major contributor," he added.

Presently, India is witnessing a demand for MICE within the country and other affected Asian countries may divert their demands to the Green zones in India. Marriages and Destination Marriages will also add to the benefits enjoyed by the sector regardless of vaccines' presence. Chhattisgarh, having rich flora, fauna, historical & cultural relevance, qualifies as a destination that may see a surge in visitors in the near future.

The association anticipates positive revenues starting from the third quarter for domestic tourism, supported by social and industrial activities.

The association intends to promote the traditional cuisines, culture, and hospitality of Chhattisgarh on a national and global level by bringing the Chefs, Culinary Talents, Culinary Entrepreneurs, Hospitality Professionals, Hotel Owners of the region under a shared umbrella. To achieve this goal, the association will be collaborating with the State Tourism Board as well.

According to the association, Chhattisgarh can emerge as a destination for religious or spiritual tourism. It can also witness a trend of smart business being conducted in the state and revenge leisure travel. These activities will enable the state to become an active participant in the 'Dekho Apna Desh' campaign undertaken by India's Government.
