Uttarakhand to Organise Mini Tourism Investors’ Conclave

Uttarakhand government in the run up to the mega Destination Uttarakhand: Investors Summit 2018 scheduled in Dehradun on October 4 & 5, this year, will organise sector-specific Mini Investors Conclaves in different parts of the State in August.

OUT OF the four Mini Conclaves, two conclaves specific to tourism sector will be held in Tehri and Nainital on August 7 and August 10 respectively. While the Tehri conclave will discuss tourism and wellness, the Nainital Conclave will deliberate on investment opportunities in film shooting and tourism.

Satpal Maharaj, Minister of Tourism, Government of Uttarakhand said that they will also organise an Ambassadors’ Meet in Delhi on August 30 to present the vast investment potential in the tourism sector in the State. The Tourism Minister said that the mega Investment Meet in October will only have a limited focus on Tourism like infrastructure development, ropeways, etc., while the Mini Conclaves will showcase untapped potential in areas like adventure tourism, culinary tourism, etc., in the State before the investors.

Uttarakhand Tourism has also finalised the schedule for domestic roadshows to promote the State in the domestic market. These roadshows will be held in Bengaluru (August 22), Hyderabad (August 23), Ahmedabad (August 24), Mumbai (August 29) and Delhi (August 30).
