His responsibilities will involve leading & motivating the team to achieve the sales targets for the property & the group, along with being actively involved in strategizing & planning of marketing initiatives.

SHERATON Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway welcomes Ujwal Wal as the new Director of Sales of Marketing. With an experience of over 12 years in the hospitality industry, Wal has worked with brands like Taj Group, Marriott International, IHG Hotels and IHHR hospitality group. Wal brings with him an extensive experience in sales and marketing.

At Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway his role would be to ensure smooth operations of revenue, sales and marketing. His responsibilities will involve leading & motivating the team to achieve the sales targets for the property & the group, along with being actively involved in strategizing & planning of marketing initiatives.

Prior to joining the Marriott International family, Ujwal enjoyed stints with Taj, IHHHR & Intercontinental Hotels. His hard work and passion helped him win the Hotelier India award for Sales & Revenue person of the year in 2014 for upscale property while working with Courtyard by Marriott, Ahmedabad, subsequently earning him the Director of Sales & Marketing role in June 2016. Prior to joining Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway, Ujwal was the Complex Director of Sales & Marketing for Courtyard & Fairfield by Marriott, Outer Ring Road, Bangalore.

Wal has done his B.A in hotel management from University of Huddersfield in UK along with a Diploma in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management, Aurangabad. He has also done a Post Graduation Certification in Business Management from XLRI Jamshedpur.

In his free time he enjoys squash, swimming and trekking, having covered Mount Everest base camp in the year 2016 and backpacked through Leh & Ladakh more recently.
