TravClan launches an initiative to enable people find access to COVID-19 resources online

The B2B travel platform will also make available information around vaccination availability on their agents’ websites

TravClan, a disruptive B2B Travel Platform bringing in technology driven transformation to the US $100 billion offline travel market in India and South East Asia, joins the war against COVID-19 by leveraging its online platform for community support initiatives. As part of an initiative called “Let’s Help Each Other’, TravClan has created a platform called 'Let's Help Each Other', which provides information around COVID-19 resources to those in need.

Through the platform, people will be able to find hospital beds, ventilators, plasma donors, oxygen cylinder and concentrator suppliers, medication/injections, ambulances and even food/dabba services for patients recovering at home. The premise of this site is to keep people abreast with verified information on each requirement that a person and his family members might need during these trying times.

Arun Bagaria, co-founder, TravClan said, "TravClan is a technology platform with a network of thousands of travel agents which use the platform daily. Given we have technology infrastructure in place to share information, we decided to use our platform to help people find the right information by coordinating with various stakeholders, NGOs and community groups. 100+ travel agents have already joined hands and become part of initiative to create an extensive resource list for people to get timely help. As a part of the community, the TravClan family and the entire travel industry stands with Indians and we hope to play a small part in managing the situation to some extent. We will also be exploring ways to augment our efforts further."

Right from the onset of the second wave the company has been receiving a lot of messages from people asking for help. A lot of lives have been lost due to unavailability of something as basic as oxygen," he added.

Another initiative that the brand has undertaken is to provide COVID-19 vaccination centre listings on websites of 2000+ travel agents spread across the country. This also includes details such as - Availability of vaccines, which brand of vaccine is being administered at each centre and other vaccine-related information and protocols. The initiative will help the network of travel agents educate people about vaccination especially in smaller towns where the second wave has hit the hardest and awareness about vaccines remains low. Through these two initiatives, TravClan is doing its bit to impact as many lives as possible while the country at large tries to cope with the 2nd wave of COVID- 19.

TravClan through its efforts aims to reach out to as many people as possible with fast, time effective solutions in a streamlined manner. All the necessary information available is updated in real time with verified information regarding each listing on the platform. The two initiatives started by TravClan, are focused towards a future where at least 60 per cent of the population is vaccinated and to aid Indians in whatever way possible to recover from their illness in an effortless, easy and comfortable manner.
