The Third Edition of Rich’s Gourmet Guide Underscores Global Trends in Bakery Industry

With over a ton number of cakes on display prepared using Rich’s products by their team of Chefs, the event held at Taj Santacruz, themed on the upcoming festive season in India and aimed to showcase the current global trends in the bakery industry.

THE THIRD edition of Rich’s Gourmet Guide – The Bakers Lounge organised in Mumbai by Rich Graviss Products Pvt. Ltd., a food products corporation popularly recognised for their non-dairy whipped toppings, received a mix visitor footfall of various Restaurateurs, Caterers, Bakers as well as Home Bakers from across various cities of India. With over a ton number of cakes on display prepared using Rich’s products by their team of Chefs, the event held at Taj Santacruz, themed on the upcoming festive season in India and aimed to showcase the current global trends in the bakery industry.

Speaking about the significance of Gourmet Guide, Pankaj Chaturvedi, CEO & Executive Director of Rich Graviss said that the food corporation has been always focusing on inventions in the Food Service segment, right since Rich’s Products Corporation inception in 1945. He further added, “Having invented a range of products, we needed a canvas to showcase their application to our prime customer base – the B2B market. Hence, we have organised the Gourmet Guide where restaurateurs, caterers, as well as aspiring chefs from across the country come under one roof to learn more about the ongoing global trends in the bakery industry.”

Chef Pankaj Jain, GM – Sales, Marketing & Culinary, Rich Graviss Products Pvt. Ltd., while interacting with BW Hotelier reiterated Chaturvedi, “Rich’s was born out of invention, where Robert E Rich Sr. founded the company after successfully developing a non-dairy topping made from vegetable oil.” Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Chef Jain mentioned that the company has a significant global presence with supplies to over 150 countries, servicing directly to the B2B Food Service Market. He added that they have been supplying their products to many well-known brands in India including Taj, Oberoi, Barbeque Nation, Mainland China, etc.

When asked about expansion plans in the SKUs (Stock Keeping Unit) of Rich Graviss Products Pvt. Ltd., Chef Jain said that they have recently entered into packaged Gravy segment too, where they have introduced institutional packs of Makhani Gravy contained as six units of 2kg packet each, in one carton. He added, “We keep constantly interacting with our customers to understand their needs and then accordingly to bridge the gap by introducing new products after systematic R&D.”

Chaturvedi and Chef Jain both exclaimed that keeping their products cost-effective and best-in-quality for their prospective customers are the cornerstone of the brand.
