The Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai to Host Second Edition of Spanish Extravaganza

The three-day experience from 23-25 November 2018 will showcase Food & Wines from Spain and celebrate Spain’s finest flavours at The Chambers.

THE TAJ Mahal Palace, Mumbai, will be presenting the authentic Spanish cuisine in their second edition of the ‘Spanish Extravaganza’ schedule to be held from 23-25 November 2018, following the success of the same last year. The three-day experience will showcase Food & Wines from Spain and celebrate Spain’s finest flavours at The Chambers.

During the course of the event, seven culinary masters and two Michelin-Starred Chefs namely Miguel Barrera Barrachina and Ignacio Solana Perez will combine their exemplary knowledge, trademark styles and unique recipes to present a signature experience to the patrons.

Commenting on the collaboration, Taljinder Singh, Area Director, Mumbai Hotels and General Manager, The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai said, “The Taj Mahal Palace has for decades brought in the best of global experiences, be it in terms of luxury or cuisine. Our tryst with Spanish culture and food was a massive success last year and we are utterly delighted to host the second edition of Spanish Extravaganza.”

José Vicente Pérez López, Spanish Embassy Economic Counsellor said, “We aim to promote Spanish culture in India and cuisine is indeed the cornerstone of any culture. This exclusive event brings together a curated experience for Indians to enthral them with the best of Spain and its delicacies.”

In addition to the specially curated menu by the Michelin-starred chefs, the Spanish Extravaganza will also boast of traditional Spanish wines, carefully selected by sommeliers Manuel Corralero, Jon Adoni Rementeria, Alejandro Paadin and Magandeep Singh, who will come together to enhance the experience.

The team will present their craft in the form of two experiences spread over the duration of the tour. The five-course fine dining Michelin dinner experience at The Chambers Dining Room will be accompanied by live music and an exclusive wine-paired menu featuring Spanish Wines. On the sidelines, guests can savour the Paella and Tapas experiences at The Chambers Lawn where live cooking stations will present the flavours of the Mediterranean country.

To add to the entertainment quotient at the gala, Javier Gomez, Tamara Lucio, Jose Luis Vidal “El Lebri and Sebas Sanchez will be performing the traditional dance form, flamenco accompanied with foot tapping music pieces.
