The Oberoi Mumbai Celebrates Sicilian Cuisine With Executive Chef Agostino D’Angelo
The Culinary showcase will be held at The Oberoi, Mumbai and will entail Special Chef Agostino D’Angelo Dégustation menus at Vetro.
THE OBEROI, Mumbai announced the visit of Executive Chef Agostino D’Angelo from Ristorante Oliviero from the acclaimed Belmond Villa Sant’Andrea, from the 21st to the 28th of February, 2019 at Vetro.
The Culinary showcase will be held at The Oberoi, Mumbai and will entail Special Chef Agostino D’Angelo Dégustation menus at Vetro. The menu will be available as a Lunch Menu Du Jour which will feature a four-course tasting menu at INR 2950 plus taxes and Dinner will showcase a Chef’s Gourmand menu with a five-course menu at INR 4950 plus taxes, per guest. A special Gala Dinner on the 23rd of February, 2019 Saturday will present 6 exquisite courses at INR 6950 plus taxes.
The exclusive Culinary Showcase at Vetro will have Executive Chef Agostino D’Angelo “Celebrate Fine Sicilian Cuisine” with dishes such as the Caponata, one of the most renowned and well known traditional, centenarian vegetarian dishes of Sicily, Marinated sea bass with shaved fennel and orange segments, Burrata cheese and basil cream with grilled fruit (interestingly where the fruit is marinated with modern techniques of cuisine then vacuum packed to remove the internal oxygen and give the fruit a more intense flavour and colour, paired beautifully with a basil dressing that forms a unique balance with the burrata cheese), Corn-fed chicken breast with confit lemon, grilled spring onion and mash potatoes, Traditional Sicilian style "Cannolo" ship ricotta cheese and orange preserve to name a few.
