The Imperial Joins the #BEE4THEPLANET Campaign for Earth Hour

To celebrate Earth Hour across the hotel on 30th March 2019 and carry forward the pledge to GIVEUP on water, plastic and energy wastage while creating a buzz about the importance of greener practices to save our planet.

THE IMPERIAL New Delhi partnered with WWF-India to celebrate Earth Hour across the hotel on
30th March 2019 and carry forward the pledge to GIVEUP on water, plastic and energy wastage while creating a buzz about the importance of greener practices to save our planet. 

The hotel also minimized the electricity usage in certain guest areas in alignment with the#SWITCHOFF initiative to conserve energy and also followed ‘Dine in Dark’ concept, where the lights were switched off in Nostalgia, the classic European restaurant from 8:30-9:30 pm on Earth Hour.

Following activities were undertaken on 30th March 2019 in order to spread awareness among the associates and guests about the importance of saving our depleting resources and the importance of individual participation to save our planet :

Switching off Facade lights

Switching off the Swimming Pool Ambient lights

Switching off the reflective pool lights of Business Centre- One Imperial Place 

'Dine in Dark' event at Nostalgia, at 1911 Brasserie is christened where guests will dine with candles or battery operated lights on 30th March 2019

A floral installation art in the lobby highlighting the theme for being champions for nature

Earth Hour Posters in back of the house areas and lobby areas for maximum outreach to associates, walk-in guests and in-house guests

Poster making competition with the hotel associates to spread the word
