THE NEWLY appointed Executive Sous Chef of Pride Plaza Hotel Aerocity, New Delhi, Sandeep Yadav is a well-known name in the field of kitchen expertise and operations from International Hotel chains, according to a release issued by the hotel. In his new role, he is the in charge of the kitchen and is responsible for overseeing all the activities that get played out there.
Yadav is known for his work as Core trainer of the Kitchen Department, responsible for identifying training requirements at various levels and conducting monthly sessions. His standing in the field can be fathomed from innumerable awards and accolades that he has received. From being appointed as Silver Star of the month in Shangri-La Hotel, New Delhi, he has also been commemorated with Award of Leadership for Manager at Courtyard Marriott Gurgaon twice (2012 & 2013). He was also honoured with Award of Leadership for Best Manager at Courtyard Marriott Gurgaon in 2015.
He is a graduate in hospitality & hotel administration from NCHMCT Pusa. After his brief stint as a commis at Shangri-La Hotel, he moved to Courtyard Marriot Gurugram, travelling up the ladder from being a commis in 2009 to Demi Chef De Partie, Jr. Sous Chef, Sous Chef up till Chef De Cuisine where he managed Kitchen operations of 96 cover (Momo café); in room dining of 198 rooms along with handling a team of 47 associates including supervisors.
He has also shouldered with responsibility to develop action plans for BSA (Brand Standard Audit), Guest Voice & AES (Associate Engagement Survey). Apart from this, he has been commended by the Executive Chefs for significantly improving unique menu selections and presentation.
He is also a reliable figure when it comes to providing direction and motivation to the team members and formulating policies and processes to enhance employee retention and morale by tactfully promoting team environment, emphasizing guest relations, and instituting a positive means of dealing with stress in a high-volume operation.
