RENAISSANCE MUMBAI has promoted Ashwin Vaidya as the hotel’s new Director of Rooms effective October 1, 2018, where he will be ensuring that the guest experience at Renaissance Mumbai is aloft to exceptional levels.

Having started his career in 1991 at the Oberoi Mumbai, Vaidya joined Renaissance Mumbai in 2007 as a Front Office Executive. Following this assignment, he worked as the Duty Manager at Marriott Goa in 2010, and in 2011 was appointed as the AFOM (Asst. Front Office Manager) for Courtyard and Fairfield Bangalore and shortly was promoted as the Rooms Division Manager as well. Since Vaidya reconciled with Renaissance Mumbai in 2017 as the Resident Manager, he has demonstrated leadership and effective, efficient management in all aspects of the hotel’s operations, a statement issued by the hotel read.

Vaidya has also won some considerable and recognisable awards in his tenure with Marriott International, in particular- Rooms Division Award from Hotelier of Year Awards, Function and the Rooms Leader of the Year award from Marriott APAC for select service hotels.
