2020 has been a significantly tough year for the hospitality industry.  Yet, even in the unprecedented times of Coronavirus, hoteliers have stood their ground.  To support and reward key individuals who have gone above and beyond the call of duty for their customers, BW HOTELIER proudly commences the journey of its 5th Indian Hospitality Awards with its East, Regional Jury Meet on August 17, 2020.

The Regional Jury - East consisting of an influential panel of experienced professionals peer-reviewed and judged the nominees based on the questionnaire provided to them. Nominees were given the opportunity to deliver information and submit materials to support their case. The Jury meticulously went through all the nominations to arrive at winners from the Eastern part of the country. 

The East Jury was headed by Sandip Mukherjee and other eminent jury members included Nisheeth Srivastava, Principal, IHM, Kolkata; Ashok Anantram, Senior Advisor, AK Mylsamy & Associates LLP; Partha Chatterjee, Strategic Business Consultant; Shaun Kenworthy, Chef, Restauranteur, Consultant, Food & travel writer.

“I personally feel the theme, the concept and the people working behind are really commendable. The way we looked at submissions and the way nominations have come in, the detail and effort which the people have put in throughout the country shows in the quality and the respect the country has for this award summit and hotelier ceremony,” stated Chatterjee.

The process was designed in such a way that winners were recognised based on merit with a fair and transparent judging process. However, the suspense is on and the names of the winner will be announced during the 5-day virtual gala of BW HOTELIER’s IHA 2020 from August 31, 2020 to September 4, 2020.

Srivastava expressed, “IHA is an impartial award show. I was happy to see the quality of questions and answers.”
