Perfect HVAC solutions from Mitsubishi Electric

The company has been contributing with HVAC solutions to various sectors with its wide product range including the Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF), an optimum solution for the hospitality industry as it can deliver customised comfort with maximum energy efficiency

One of the world’s leading names in the manufacture and sales of electronic and electric products and systems used in a broad range of fields and applications including hospitality and healthcare sectors, Mitsubishi Electric is a global leader in air-conditioning systems for residential, commercial and industrial use. Being a premium player, Mitsubishi Electric has been a frontrunner in the industry as far as challenging projects are considered.

As an HVAC solutions company, Mitsubishi Electric has completed many hospitality projects like Fortune Moksha in Dharamshala which is a testimony of the company’s involvement in difficult ventures which have been operational for a long time without issues. The installation of air-conditioners was a challenge due to remote locations in the Himalayas. The extreme weather conditions, up to 34 degree Celsius in summer or -4 degree Celsius in winter, was the biggest challenge. The company was able to solve these issues and offer a powerful yet efficient HVAC solution to the hotel which keeps its guests comfortable throughout the year, irrespective of the weather. “We understand that hospitality is one of the most difficult sectors to service since HVAC is one of the key parameters of their infrastructure. However, our product quality, qualified engineers and impeccable service have made us the favourites for luxury hospitality projects which have challenging installations,” says Naohiko Hosokawa, Director & Business Head – Living Environment Division, Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt Ltd.

The company has been contributing with HVAC solutions to various sectors with its wide product range including the Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF), an optimum solution for the hospitality industry as it can deliver customised comfort with maximum energy efficiency. As the hospitality sector has varying occupancy and diverse guest choices, it leads to varying HVAC requirements for maximum comfort which can be handled efficiently by an inverter technology-based VRF System. Also, the City Multi-VRF system has a very high part load efficiency which leads to the maximum energy saving. One of the added advantages of a City Multi-VRF system is its reliability. The system has an inbuilt fault detection feature which leads to lower downtime. Thus, a mix of reliability and efficiency make City Multi-VRF system a robust offering. “The product range of our air-conditioners are so diverse that we can give a bundled HVAC solution considering the application like dynamic and large areas in the hotels which need room air-conditioners or semi-commercial ACs like cassette or concealed ACs which are easy to install and have variation of usage and cyclicity. Mitsubishi Electric offers smart, efficient range of jet towels which are a key product for the hospitality segment due to its key feature of hygienic and quick hand drying time which reduces waste for the hospitality industry,” he adds.

Throwing light on the new offerings for 2022, Hosokawa shares, “We are moving from standard global products which we used to sell in India to customised products Made for India. These new range of products are designed in Japan keeping the Indian climate, power situation and weather complexities in mind. For example, we launched a new range of five-star air-conditioners, MSY GR and MSY GR-T Series. The MSY GR Series are empowered with Inverter Technology and MSY GR (T) Series caters to tropical climate with a new tropical inverter cooling technology.”

The company has also introduced the next generation CITY-MULTI VRF called the R2 Series. This new-age technology has the world’s first two-pipe heat recovery system, reducing piping and connections compared with three-pipe systems; heat recovery for high efficiency; increased efficiency and extended temperature range in cooling up to 52°C.
