A total of 14 hotels hosted the preliminary editions in October 2018, where they were allowed to collaborate with an NGO of their choice. A child from the NGO formed a team with the corporate participant for the cook-off. Each of the corporate participants at the host hotels prepared a recipe of their choice in the 75-minute cook-off. Following this, a panel comprising of food critics, celebrity chefs, F&B influencers and Hyatt hotel chefs judged these recipes and announced the winners at each city.
