PPFI & ARCHII Organise GST Workshop

The event touched on subjects ranging from the basic features of the GST laws in India; issues and concerns surrounding GST; valuation and input credits under GST Regime; and preparing ERP, among others.

WITH THE Lok Sabha paying the way for the biggest tax reform in independent India by way of rolling out of GST from July 1,2017 and with the objective to provide an insight into the GST framework as currently envisaged and the manner in which businesses need to prepare themselves for a smooth transition to the GST,  Purchasing Professionals Forum India (PPFI) in association with Association of Resource Companies for the Hospitality Industry of India (ARCHII) organised a Workshop on “GST Laws and Implications” for its members.  

Looking on to the importance of GST, PPFI (Purchasing professionals forum-India) has structured the workshop on “GST laws and its Implication” on 3rd June 2017 at Lemon Tree Aerocity New Delhi where Speaker of the Day was a regular speaker on Indirect taxes, Hanish S. From Hanish and Associate, Bangalore who gave his time to equipe PPFI and Archii members with the new Laws of GST and cleared all doubts related to GST.

Hanish S. is practicing as a CA and completed his CS and LLB in 2008. He specialises in indirect taxes. He was part of the committee formed by ICAI which released a book on Transition issues under GST regime. He is a regular speaker on Indirect taxes as well.

Devraj Sharma , who is President of Delhi Tax Bar Association of India was also present and he too focussed the importance and benefits of GST.

PPFI is a forum where more than 200 professional from different hotels are associated and keep organising such programme for the Benefit of hospitality industry .

The workshop was attended by large number of PPFI and ARCHII members and cleared many doubts regarding the implementation of GST  with the speaker Hanish S during the presentation itself.

Amarjit Singh Ahuja the president of PPFI and Rajat Pandhi, President ARCHII, expressed their gratitude toward the speakers and gave away momentoes at the end of the session which was followed by a networking cocktail and dinner.

The workshop was very well attended by PPFI & ARCHII members.
