OYO Hotels Appoints IndiGo’s Ex-President Aditya Ghosh as CEO for India & South Asia

Ghosh with over 21 years of experience will be responsible to oversee and grow OYO Hotels’ business in South Asia, which will include, India, Nepal, and the other upcoming markets in the region.

OYO HOTELS, South Asia’s leading and one of China’s top ten, today announced the appointment of Aditya Ghosh (Ex-President of India’s leading Low-Cost Carrier IndiGo Airlines) as their CEO of India and South Asia, effective December 1, 2018. The appointment comes amid the hotel company’s focus to drive accelerated growth in their potential markets – India and China.

Ghosh with over 21 years of experience will be responsible to oversee and grow OYO Hotels’ business in South Asia, which will include, India, Nepal, and the other upcoming markets in the region. He will focus on continuing to drive growth while delivering high-quality customer experience and sustained yields for asset owners, according to the company in a press release issued here.

Furthermore, he will be a thought partner to every OYOpreneur, by enabling a work culture that rewards performance and celebrates diversity and inclusion. Ghosh will be reporting to Ritesh Agarwal, Founder & Group CEO, OYO Hotels & Homes.

Ghosh joins OYO Hotels & Homes following his last stint at IndiGo as the President & Whole-time Director of IndiGo, where he was instrumental in turning the airline into a highly-preferred and profitable airline in India, and also into one of the fastest growing low-cost carriers globally. He was also a member of the apex Executive Committee of InterGlobe Enterprises at the Group Level and sat on the Board of the hotels and technology businesses as well as the flight simulator training facilities. During his stint at IndiGo, Aditya was also a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion, which is currently credited to have the maximum number of women pilots and a workforce comprising of 43% women.
