Mayank Kinger Appointed as Regional Head Goa and Konkan Head at SaffronStays

Mayank will play a key role in planning and shaping of business blueprints as well as building on the brand’s outstanding reputation for service and delivery to clients with full responsibility for the strategy development and execution of SaffronStays’ Coastal business.

SaffronStays, the micro hospitality brand has appointed Mayank Kinger as the Regional Head, Goa and Coastal Karnataka & Maharashtra. His role will be included facilitate growth and development of SaffronStays’ penetration in Goa and Coastal Karnataka & Maharashtra. He will be spearheading operations and home on-boarding in the region.

Before joining SaffronStays Mayank had been an entrepreneur running his own F&B venture. He was also associated with and a not for profit trust which worked closely with special education schools, HIV shelters and palliative care centres for cancer patients in Bangalore. Prior to that, he worked with MNC's as a CRM consultant.

Devendra Parulekar, Founder, SaffronStays say, “Goa is an extremely cluttered market, with a largely unregulated supply of homes and bungalows. By appointing a Regional Head to run the Goa base, SaffronStays wishes to on-boarding high-quality Portuguese heritage homes, especially in carefully chosen locations in Goa, rather than the over-crowded tourist zones. Areas in South Goa, untouched beaches of North Goa and Coastal Karnataka such as Gokarna, Udupi, Hoode, and Malpe are our focus areas.”

Goa is a very lucrative market and one of India’s most visited tourist destinations, SaffronStays aims to build a network of unique properties which would cater to all kind of discerning travellers be it heritage homes or modern villas. Talking about his plans for SaffronStays, Mayank says, “My key strategy would be to build quality inventory and leverage different channels to drive occupancy. We are looking to build an inventory of 100 rooms over next couple of seasons. Goa has great potential and I am excited to spearhead SaffronStays's expansion in the region.”

Mayank holds an Engineering degree in CSE from the University of Rajasthan. He is an avid traveller, aspiring writer and an ardent animal lover. He has been actively involved in animal welfare for a few years now and lives with his dog Abby who was rescued from the streets.
