Lords Inn Agra organises Road Safety Awareness Drive

Members of the staff marched through the city with banners on the importance of following road safety rules. Some stood at busy stretches and distributed pamphlets. As a part of the drive, even flowers were gifted to motorists who were found not observing traffic rules.

Unfortunately for most Indians, the incidents of road accidents especially in urban areas are becoming a common occurance. Many a times, in these accidents people suffer serious injuries and some even lose their lives. Raising cudgels on the behalf of civil society, Lords Inn, Agra, recently, undertook an initiative to spread awareness in the city on how for the sake of safety, everyone needs to observe traffic rules. The entire team of the hotel participated in it and the citizens of Agra gave their wholehearted support to the initiative.
The staff while being dressed in their uniforms, marched through the city with banners on the importance of following road safety rules. Some of them stood in the busy stretches and distributed pamphlets making people sensitive towards observing traffic rules. As a part of the drive, even flowers were gifted to motorists who were found not observing traffic rules. The staff members  exhorted drivers  to follow  rules like wearing helmets, not jumping red lights, using seat belts and avoiding use of mobile phones while driving.
Speaking about the campaign, Shailej N Teri, General Manager, Lords Inn, Agra said “The idea came to our mind as lately in the city, there have been a spate of road accidents resulting in injuries to people and in some cases even loss of life. Despite stringent measures taken by traffic police, people were openly flouting traffic rules. We felt we have a duty towards society as we are also part of it and hence we came up with this initiative. It was a small effort, but much appreciated by the people”
Says Rishi Puri, Vice President, Lords Hotels & Resorts, “Seeing such a wonderful response from this awareness drive, we are planning to organize more such campaigns in our other hotels too.”
