Kolkata to Host ICPB’s ‘Conventions India Conclave’ from Aug 29 – 31

This year’s theme is ‘Scaling New Height – Building for the Future’ and focusses on how ICPB can enhance its activities and compete in the international market.

INDIA CONVENTION Promotion Bureau (ICPB), under the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India, announced its flagship event ‘Conventions India Conclave’ in Kolkata from  29 – 31 August 2018 at Biswa Bangla Convention Centre.

As the theme of the event is ‘Scaling New Height – Building for the Future’, the focus area during the conclave is how ICPB can enhance its activities and compete in the international market. “We are already moving in this direction as our first ever international roadshow was successfully held in Europe in June 2018,” informed Chander Mansharamani, Vice Chairman, ICPB.

The other focus area will be to create the opportunity of bidding for an international conference. This year the 11th Conclave is quite significant as ICPB will launch its first State Chapter in Kolkata during the Conclave on 30 August 2018. The two-day event is packed with sessions and panel discussions on various topics – Public Private Partnership for Destination Marketing, Social Media Marketing – Changing Scenario - Impact on Industry and Way Forward and A Winning Formula for Bidding for International Conferences.

Ministry of Tourism, West Bengal Govt. is the Platinum Sponsor of the Event as State Partner and Biswa Bangla Convention Centre is the Venue Partner for the conclave. It is a perfect forum for opinions, views and standpoints on India’s meeting and convention industry.
